I’m Amanda, a PR girl originally from Boston but now living and working in New York.  At the core, I’m a storyteller and brainstormer, and I use that to help the team at SHIFT Communications share its clients’ news and insights with the world.  When I’m logged off the network, you can think of me as a sweet cocktail of online (window)shopping, smiling with my eyes, laughing sarcastically at things, asking annoying questions, posing for photos, telling stories, watching reality TV, reading magazines, being a dud in the kitchen, going to the gym reluctantly, drinking wine, eating sushi, craving cheeseburgers, and sharing TMI.   Everyone is a honeycomb.

As a blogger/human/honeycomb, I am interested in lots of things, including:

  • stories, particularly if they are related to fairy tales, designer clothes or smart people
  • social networks, particularly if they involve shopping, fashion, photos or personalities
  • social media tools, particularly if they can help me do something better, faster or prettier
  • iPhone apps, particularly if they are related to fashion, gaming or making life easier
  • handbags, particularly if they’re gorgeous and on sale
  • dance, particularly if it makes me feel something and tells a story
  • consumer behavior, particularly if you want to buy me a present
  • gender relations, particularly if it’s a new study or stat
  • social change, particularly if there are ways we can all help
  • youth culture, particularly if you’ve got data to discuss
  • fitness, particularly if you can help me get my bod in better shape
  • the future, particularly if you know where it’s going
