Help Me Raise Money for Susan G. Komen
As some of you know, I am a specialty choreographer for the senior company at The Dance Place, Inc. in Worcester, Mass. Every year in November, the studio puts on a beautiful show to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This year, I have taken it upon myself to go a step further for my dancers and the foundation.
I have been secretly visiting the studio each Sunday for the past two months and creating a surprise dance piece to give as a gift to the owner of The Dance Place. She’s had a few rough patches over the past couple years and we wanted to remind her that she has a strong, caring family of dancers who love her to pieces.
While I am not asking any of you to attend the show on Friday, I am asking you for any help you can provide as a donation to our cause. As a group, we want to present a combined check to our studio director at the finale of the benefit, and anything you can do will help us make a difference. Please Thank you so much for your support- it means the world to us.

At present, I’m actually 32 percent of the way to my goal. The picture says it’s zero, but it’s lying. I have extremely generous and wonderful friends. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. You are truly helping to make something great for so many people.
Amanda- you rock. This is an awesome use of social media:) I’m totally donating and am creating an Utter (utterz.com- my new addiction) to direct more people here to donate.
Wow! When I went to bed last night you were at 17% I think. Woke up this morning and you are at 550%.
Great job Amanda!
Err that should have read and now you are at 110% of the goal.
Amanda Gravel rocks the Casbah.
We’re 80% there to the $800 goal. I may have to close it off early, so “don’t wait, donate.” Haha- all my love and thanks to those who have contributed already. I’m beside myself with gratitude and awe.
With my ChipIn and non-ChipIn fundraising, I’ve raised $955 in the past 24 hours. I am beside myself with joy. You all don’t understand how much this will mean to my dancers and our “family” at the studio. This is above and beyond anything I could have imagined. THANK YOU.
Wonderful job, Amanda!! Congratulations! Wow - the power of the web and relationships at work. I think it’s a wonderful cause!
Amanda Mooney provided me with your blog, and I wanted to say, hi. I’ll be stopping in this afternoon to interview for the Social Marketing Intern position. I am looking forward to meeting you. See you then!
