Actually, my dad would be far too busy and my mom hates computers. I attempted to explain Facebook to them (pre-apps) and told them that it’s basically a way to keep in touch with old high school friends when you remember them (i.e. birthdays and such), family members who went off to other schools, and things of that nature.
So my mom basically thinks it’s e-mail.
I lose.

My parents use the computer to email and get directions… that is pretty much it. I know my dad could use del.icio.us for his business, but he would laugh at me if I tried to show him anything web 2.0. He thinks I drank too much kool-aid. haha.

I am a parent and thought that the delicious video was very well done. If I were working, or had more friends my age who actually used the computer for anything other than email, I know we would use this site. I’ll let you know if I actually register…

I would think that a service like Stumble would be much more entertaining to them. I do have a quick question for you. What on earth did you say to your parents to convince them that there are times when text is better than a phone call? I’d love to pass that on to my mother. GREAT POST!

Ha! I needed this sooo bad. I have a VP of Sales and Marketing and a Director of Marketing that I have been trying to get to use del.icio.us. All they can do is make corny jokes. This will help certainly! Thanks.
