1. What is your first memory?

Taking everything out of the cabinets in the kitchen and getting caught on camera.

2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Radio DJ. I think everyone should pursue their childhood dreams.

3. How old were you when you decided you weren’t a kid anymore?

Has not happend yet, and I don't expect it to happen any time soon. :-)

4. Who would you go back and thank from your past?

I would go back and thank George Odiorne from UMass for teaching me Management by Objectives. He also taught me how to teach.

5. How have you dealt with regret?

From my perspective Guilt and Worry are the worthless emotions... Let's move on!

1. What is your first memory?
I am about two years old, standing in a store on Jefferson Ave. in Oak Cliff while my parents buy linoleum for the floor of their new house. To this day, the scent of linoleum sends me right back there.

2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Pilot

3. How old were you when you decided you weren’t a kid anymore?
53

4. Who would you go back and thank from your past?
Several of my teachers. Corny but true

5. How have you dealt with regret?
Sometimes by getting even. Sometimes with deep feelings of guilt and shame. Mostly I try to forget.

1. Um, I don't really remember. I have snippets of things, but not sure which one came first. I do remember throwing up in bed, and then watching my blankie being washed in the washing machine (the lid was up) and being held by my Mom. Had to be pretty young, because she was holding me.

2. A doctor. Turns out I don't like blood.

3. Um, I haven't.

4. No one - I made sure to thank them when I had the chance, and opportunity. Or soon thereafter. Or they knew.

5. Life's too short to live with regrets. We all make mistakes, but you cannot get mired down in regrets. Live life to its fullest, or try.

1. What is your first memory? Moving into my 2nd house in Cumberland, ME. The house was big and empty but my room had bunk beds and I do remember a bit of that.

2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I moved through a bunch of different careers - chef, lawyer, back to chef, pilot, astronaut, and now I want to be a CIO.

3. How old were you when you decided you weren’t a kid anymore? I'm sure I stopped calling myself a kid a long while ago, maybe 12 or 13 but honestly I stopped feeling like a kid when I turned 16 or 17 when I was acccepted into the military academies.

4. Who would you go back and thank from your past? My grandmother - she passed away before I really got to know her and enjoy our time. Alzheimers kept her distant when I was old enough to appreciate her. I do know that she was a huge influence in my life and that she showed me a ton of love.

5. How have you dealt with regret? I've assessed the mistake, outlined goals and actions to avoid it in the future, and stuck to a path that will keep me successful with these goals.

1) Sucking my thumb holding on to my blankie while patiently waiting for it to be dried on the clothesline outside.

2) A writer, restaurant owner, someone in retail, musician, teacher

3) Upon graduating from college and answering to Sallie Mae :(

4) My very passionate, encouraging HS and college teachers who pushed me to accel and ALWAYS pursue my dreams / aspirations.

5)I have ALWAYS had a problem w/ dwelling on the specific issue for way to long, but as I grow older am working on adaption / moving on...

to quote one of my fave Sex and the city Carrie quotes...“As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.”

1. My Grandmother's Love

2. An artist and a teacher. (Never wanted to be an art teacher though...Funny thing is, I was one)

3. I'll let you know. I don't think 46 is it yet.

4. My Grandfather and the minister of my church.

5. I don't have regret. I view things as I have done the best I could at the time and if things didn't work as I had hoped, then I treat them as learning experiences. That's as close as I can come.

1. My first memory--my dad picking me up from school when I was three and taking me to a diner on the river for lunch. It was a tradition. He would pick me up during his lunch break, take me out and then bring me back to school. We always went to the same diner, and I always ordered orange juice and a grilled cheese sandwich, which I called girl-cheese sandwiches.

2. The President of the USA

3. I was supposed to decide that? Kidding. I would have to say 12--it was when my parents moved me to India and my whole world changed.

4.The Principal from my elementary school. She always believed in my and encouraged me to be the very best version of myself, evn at the tender age of 3.

5. If ever I feel regret, I try to remember that I wouldn't be who I am if I hadn't experienced everything that I've gone through. And I like who I am now, so there is no room for regret.
