It has to be done if y’all want to be considered elite and if you’re trying to pull elite guys. Life isn’t fair. If you want to be ahead of the game, you have to work for it… AND make it seem like you’re NOT working for it… like everything you present to the guy is natural and regular to you.
Once you bag the guy of your dreams, y’all can let those moustaches & pot bellies go berserk! :D Until that time, y’all have to keep up appearances so he chooses YOU instead of the next woman.

Erm, am I the only one who thinks Bill’s comment is slightly offensive?
Lots of girls like to look nice, me included, but if an “elite” guy is one who only cares whether or not I wax my armpits and make it look like I don’t, then I’m not really interested in an “elite” guy.
Not to mention, a guy who is only judging a girl on her outward looks is hardly the “guy of my dreams” and such a guy probably wouldn’t abide his wife suddently sprouting a moustache and potbelly anyway. Because shallow men always stop being shallow after marriage.
